Torch–it sense obstacles in front of them as well as steps and hole pots in there path and It can sense the object immediately and response instantly.
TORCH-IT is a hand held device with distance sensors at one end and a vibrating coin and buzzer, whose vibration and buzz sound varies with distance measured by the sensors.
Second prototype has two set of sensors one is inclined at 15 degrees so as to identify pot holes, steps or any other ground-depth changing phenomenon that could interfere with the person’s mobility.
